It sickens me to see how the Browns had this on wrapped up let it get away. It was a very good game and much closer than last time. With out any questions, Cleveland has made great progress over the past few weeks and is a vastly improved good team. I can see them making a run at a wild card playoff spot.

After a very sluggish first half, the black and gold regrouped and all but shut down the Brownies offense the second half ..... Big Ben showed that he can run if he has to. (although it was against one of the worse run-defenses in the NFL.) I believe the Steelers win streak against the Browns now stands at 9 in a row. Unless the two rivals somehow meet in the playoffs, the Lake Erie Boys will have to wait untill next season to stop the bleeding against the Three Rivers Gang .....

With Cleveland's remaining schedule, they could win a lot of them and get a wild card playoff birth. They are much improved since the start of the season.

The Cleveland Browns done something today that no other Browns team has ever done to my knowledge. They swept the Baltimore Ravens season series 2-0 by beating them today 33-30 in OT with Phil Dawson's field goal. Cleveland now stands at 6-4 and has hopes of a playoff position.

The Pittsburgh Steelers let one get away Sunday as ex Buckeye Mike Nugent booted a 41 yard field goal in OT to lift the NY Jets past the Steelers 19-16. Pittsburgh now stands at 7-5 after week 12.

Pittsburgh had better wake-up and start drafting some offensive linemen, that can both pass-block and run-block!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The present offensive line is just that....offensive....LOL. And the announcers saying that the Steelers defense was #1 in the NFL, yet the Jets go 75 yards in less than two minutes and kick the FG to tie it up. We are losing game to teams that we should be blowing-out. The stretch drive to the playoffs starts NOW!!!!!!!!

All this game proved is that sooner or later (hopefully sooner) Heinz Field will have to install turf. If you are going to have a large amount of games played there in a short time, you had better know that the grass, or what is left of it, will be torn-up. Re-sodding it will not work either (ask Ohio State how much it cost them in 2006 to re-do it twice). You have two teams that share the facility, they can share in the cost of new turf. Old Pitt Stadium and Three Rivers both had turf before they were torn down. Hey, if Martins Ferry can install turf at their high school field, I can not see why these two teams can not get together and get this done. If you remember, last season the Patriots played a game similar to this past Monday's and it took them one week to install turf. In fact, the crew that installed Ferry's truf was the crew who did the New England job!!!!!!!

The Steelers increased their lead over the Brownies in the AFC last night. The black and gold FINALLY showed some resemblance of a football team, after sleep walking the past few games. Next week is a differant story altogether, as the Patriots are flying high right now. If the Patriots win tonight against the Ravens (Brown followers' second favorite team) they will be going into the final stages of the 2007 season with an unblemished record. The New England squad SHOULD be heavy favorites tonight .....

A large reason for that is because the Ohio Valley is so close to Pittsburgh and so far away from Cleveland or Cincinnati. I don't see why people in Western Pa. would root for Ohio teams. Possibly a mix of Browns/Bills fans in Erie.

True.......Pittsburgh is a "local" team that a lot of the area fans can root for. I know that there are a lot of Browns/Bengals fans here in the Valley and that is all well and good. It makes for a lot of rivaly talk on the professional side of it. Just imagine if WVU would have beaten Pitt, this Valley would be going crazy with the Buckeyes and Mountaineers playing for the National Championship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did notice a few years back when the Steelers won the Super Bowl, there were a lot of anti-Steeler fans here in the area.

Pittsbugh is closer than Columbus so why don't those Ohio Steeler fans root for the Panthers?

The Browns and Steelers are now tied for the AFC North lead with identical 9-5 records but Pittsburgh would win a tie breaker due to head to head wins over Cleveland. This could be interesting over the last two weeks of the regular season.
