I realize that there is not a lot of attention given to the NHL in our part of the woods but with what the Penguins are doing in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs is just unreal. They rolled past the Philadelphia Flyers in game two of the Eastern Conference final by a 4-2 score last night and lead the best of seven series 2-0. The Penguins are 10-1 in the post season. Losing only a single game 3-0 to the NY Rangers in the 2nd round. Good luck to them the rest of the way and we would all love to see the Stanley Cup Trophy raised in Pittsburgh!! The series resumes with game 3 Tuesday Night at 7:05 in Philadelphia.

The Pens will probably lose game four (even though I would love to see a sweep), just to come home and win it on home ice. It looks like they will going against the Detroit Red Wings in the finals, considering they will probably beat Dallas tonight, sweeping them in four.

Good call Coop. I watched this game 4 and the Pens seemed to be not as focused as during the first period as they were in periods 2 and 3. I really look for them to put the Flyers out of their misery Sunday back in Pittsburgh in front of what I am sure will be a huge crowd. The pucks drops at 3pm.

The Pens will have their hands full with the Red Wings, that's for sure. Let's hope that the Pens get a split at Joe Louis Arena, where the Wings are 7-1 during the playoffs. Pittsburgh is undefeated at home (8-0) and I would love to see that trend continue. GO PENS.......BRING HOME THE CUP!!!

Pittsburgh falls 4-0 in game 1. Samuelson scores twice as the Red Wings had 38 shots on goal and Pittsburgh goal tender was unable to stop 4 of those. Game two is set for Monday Night in Detroit. It's early to say this is a must win for the Pens but it will be tough to come back from an 0-2 to win this series.

Detroit took out the Pens in Game 2 last night by a 3-0 score. They now lead the series 2-0 heading into Wednesday Nights game 3 that will be played in Pittsburgh. If the Penguins have any hope to win this series, this is a critical game for them. They have not scored a goal this entire series to this point.

Can anyone say that this is "MUST" game for the Pens. Maybe the home ice will have a positive effect on them. Is it me or does it look like they are satisfied with just being in the Finals???? Looks like they are playing in slow-motion or just second gear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TONIGHT'S game will determine the Series!!!!!!!!!!!

The Pens lost at home last night. They have to win two of the next three away.

The Pens are serious hot water now. I don't see them winning any games in Motown. They had a great season, and will now look to do the same, if not better, next season. They are very young and the WILL return to the Finals soon...

I watched my first TV hockey game ever last night, and what a game it was. WOW 3 OT's .....Not being a hockey fan, I was in awe of the stamina of some of the players. I really did enjoy the game, and might even watch the game Wednesday being played at Pittsburgh.

GO PENS .....

In stayed up to watch it to the end but was too tired to post when it was over. I can not imagine how tired the players must have been after such a grueling game. I bet they all slept good last night. Congrats PENS!!! I work until 10 Wednesday Night so I will miss some of game 6 but hopefully I will get to see the important part, the end.

Rats?...LOL I have not ever heard you say that. With such a young talented team, I would think the Penguins will not have a long wait to get back to this point. The Red Wings were very good and experienced and won this series. Congrats to them.
