They report to camp today at Latrobe, and begin practicing tomorrow. For the first time in a long time, they have all of their draft choices signed. That has to be a small relief off of the team's minds..................

Anyone hear of the actual date of the pre-season kickoff game in Akron this year? I'm just anxious to see my Steelers play .....

I watched the Hall Of Fame Game last night between the Bills and the Titans, and as starved as I was to see some football, I fell asleep somewhere in the 4th quarter ..... I just couldn't get in my "football mode" .....
I'll try again this thursday as my Steelers take on the team from "out west", the Arizona Cardinals .....

Must have been an exciting game...LOL most of the pre season games are boring. Team are just trying to get a fee for the newer players. Even the last one or so the starters play very little. That being said, I am glad to be talking about some football!!

Well, I'm all ready for the 8:00 kickoff tonight between the Steelers and the Cardinals. I will be surrounded by popcorn, KFC chicken, and numerous drinks. Nothing like sitting on my deck, with my feet propped up, dog by my side, watching Steeler football.
I think the Cardinals will have much more incentive in this matchup than the Steelers ..... The Redbirds are still licking their wounds from this past Superbowl .....

Well, my beloved Steelers, won out over the Cardinals, 20 - 10 this past thursday. Next up, the Redskins, this coming saturday. Overall, I thought the black and gold did pretty well. All of the quarterbacks looked exceptionally sharp at this point. I liked the play of a lot of the rookies, as well as the second year players. But there is a lot of shuffling around on both the defensive and offensive line. But that's why they have pre-season games .....

It wasn't that bad of a performance by the Black and Gold, but it wasn't something to write home about either.
I still think the coach has to work on that defensive and offensive line .....
