I agree 100% ..... Those who are not giving 100% should be sitting on the bench. Let's give these freshmen, sophmores, and juniors a chance to show their stuff. START BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE !!! The last 3 years have been a disgrace to Bellaire Football and all who ever wore the Red and Black ..... GO BIG REDS .....

Nate Davis was not allowed to start as a freshmen & the only thing that will happen is this young man getting hurt with the line we have. But I agree they need to let others play because most of the ones playing now are going through the motions.

I'm also of the opinion that Bellaire does not need to alter or downgrade their schedule. With the exception of John Marshall all other schools are close enough in enrollment that there should be no advantange. I have always admired Steubenville Catholic for playing a schedule of schools much larger.
We all agree that there will be years less talent, and the past three years are an example. The problem with this years team is: Although this might not be a playoff caliber team there was more then returning talent to go 5-5 or 6-4.
A major problem is, the kids don't want to work or play. They are looking for excuses and their mothers are providing them.

Last year when Feller was not on the team Rose got hurt then Hocker got hurt. Could anyone take the beating he takes every week? The schedule will not change, but if we keep getting beat kids will continue to drop out & fans will not show up at the gates.

From what I have heard it will be the same players starting again. Hopefully they will show up to play.

Bellaire lost another game 26-20 but the boys played hard. If they keep playing like they did tonight I will be proud of them win or loose. Not many fans showed up tonight.

As long as the boys play hard and up to their potential, that's all we can ask for. The question is, will they continue to play that way.

This may be the Bigreds last chance to win this season. But if they come out flat like all the other games they play at home it will be over quick. Does anyone have any ideas why they play so bad at home? My dad always told us after a ruff night that happy evenings sometimes make sorrow mornings.lol

Bellaire played hard again in a loss. Can anyone tell me how they could get a delay penalty at half time? I hope it was not because they stayed in the locker talking to Nate. IMO that cost them the game.

The penalty WAS for entering the playing field late. The reason for them entering late is ..... I have no idea.
Overall Bellaire showed improvement on their desire to play the game. There's still two things that are really getting to me .....
1. An offensive line that STILL needs to protect the quarterback more and improve on their blocking on running plays.
2. Someone (Do we have a defensive coach?) to instuct the boys on PASS DEFENSE. Their pass coverage is TERRIBLE.....

The play on Edisons last drive was real bad. Bellaire had them 3rd & 10 on their own 40 when the defensive coordinator brought the dbs & lbs up in man to man tight coverage with no safeties. Edison seen this & ran a reverse without anyone on the corners & everyone man to man it was a easy 20 yard gain. Spig would of never called a less intelligent play like that. As far as our dbs go not many high school kids can cover man to man without pressure on the qb. Monday at practice Jose should make McGee run laps.
