I really don't understand how we have dropped so far in talent. We are in for a long 3 or 4 years. Also, we may have to rethink being in the Buckeye 8. In a few years we will be a D5 school and should be competing with teams like Barnesville and Shenandoah instead of Edison, JM, Indian Creek, Harrison Central and Buckeye Local all D3 schools I believe. We should keep UL, St.C, and of course MF. I also think we need a new BOE and AD. Word is that Monte Miller is retiring next year and if they give the AD job to Mrs. Feller God help us. I know this will bring a lot of wrath on me, but I really didn't see the need for a new track. The Bellaire Relays aren't what they use to be and the money would have been better serve building a new field house. Maybe that would have iliminated the staff infection we had a few years ago. This is just my thoughts only.....

Every football program has its' peaks and valleys. Right now, Bellaire is so deep in a "valley", that we can't see the light of day. It's a shame. Although things will turn around, don't look for it to happen in the near future. I personally will continue to attend the home games, and as many away games as I can. In my younger days, I NEVER missed a Bellaire football game.

I heard things got worse tonight. Just a rumor, so I'm not gonna comment on it yet.

As a parent of a senior and looking back on 4 disasterous years of Bellaire football (minus last year until a point -- I really thought we were turning the curve last year) -- I don't know what to say but I hurt -- But what you or I or anyone else thinks or says -- it does not matter -- it is about the boys and only the boys and again they are being lost in a mess -- our seniors have nothing to take with them and I cannot talk about football without tears in my eyes -- Something has to turn this situation around -- we cannot will them to win -- I am heart sick at this situation and I don't know what to do.
Number 1 -- the parents have to stay out Bellaire Football -- if your child cannot take critizism, discipline, being yelled out -- do not play!!!
Number 2 -- being a part of the 0-10 -- all of the parents said coach Bonar did not talk -- now they say Coach Davis screams -- again -- stay out of it -- let the coaches coach -- and until that happens -- this is going to be the result!
My child loves Bellaire football -- and would be playing no matter who is coaching -- he loves Coach Davis and he loved Coach Bonar -- think positive -- support the kids and the staff and Go BIG REDS!
And finally tell other towns/people to stay out of it -- they will be here soon enough (meaning what comes around goes around) and if your child is not on the team -- do not believe all of the rumors and feed into the attacks on the staff, coaches, and kids -- I literally cannot take it anymore!!!
These kids need to get mad and some fire under their behinds -- they need to want to hit someone and get po'ed that they are losing -- all of these outside issues and problems have worked its way into our system and it need to be brused by the wayside -- these kids are too soft and need to get ticked!!!!!!!
I would never post this on the other site it is not the worlds business but until the Bellaire parents understand that many of their kids would not play for some other coaches (never abide by the way they are talked to and handled) because they cannot handle Football and if they cannot - don't play -- what is going to happen -- Dear Lord then the High School doors close forever?! Good Luck Big Reds -- and Staff -- Dig deep and Just win!

Nice post and I hope the players and other parents read your thoughts and get this same attitude and fast. Thanks -- sometimes you just need to vent and after last night that is just what I needed. I should mention that my child does play and he will be a three year letterman -- he did play for both coaches and I have to stay upbeat and positive for him. Until we get some consistency in Bellaire Football this is the result -- you cannot have 3 different Head coaches in 4 years and expect to win -- nothing against any coach -- they are doing the best that they can.

FANofBHS ..... I agree with you 100%. If the boys can't take the yelling, they shouldn't be playing football. I know there are boys on the team that are giving their best and really love Bellaire Football. But there are others that are just going through the motions. They want to be known as a football player, but are too damn lazy and preoccupied with other things to really give it their all. I rather see a squad of 30, hard nosed, rockem sockem, never give up, with team spirit and bleed Red & Black, than a squad of 50 or 60 that could care less the outcome of the game. .............. Just my opinion ........................

With bad years ahead maybe the Bigreds need to drop out of the Buckeye 8 & drop the Division 3 teams & start playing Division 5 teams. Keep Ferry,UL & St C on the schedule.

It is sad that we hear that Bellaire drop anyone. I remember days when they would not drop anyone or schedule anyone due to their size.

Yesterday was ugly. I would look at this game & all the starters that are going threw the motions I would sit them or tell them goodbye.

I am still wondering how much if at all the coaching situation that still looms as a distraction? This team was not going to be a playoff team, we all knew that coming into the season but many or most of us thought they would be competitive. The sad news is that I do not see a solution now or any time in the near future. Goo luck Big Reds!!

Great post FANofBHS, its very accurate. You seem to be the only parent that has stayed "out of it"
I agree with what some fans are advocating. There might be one or two seniors that want to play, no more then that. Play the juniors and sophs. along with the freshman quarterback and let the what happens happen.
