Don't feel too bad, I'd bet the Brownies are the most disappointing team in the NFL!!

The Black and Gold have a chance to get back into the divisional race this coming monday night as they play host to the divisions' "bad boys" .....
I hope the Steelers' offensive line shows up for the game.
The two Ohio teams square off also. One of them is bound to win their first game.

Well, here we are at the halfway point on the 2008 season. With the 23 - 6 win over Washington last night, the Steelers maintain a slim lead over Baltimore in the AFC North Division. The severity of Big Bens' injury last night is still uncertain. The black and golds' defense once again proved to be the deciding factor against a (up to this point) solid Redskin running game, limiting Washington to 2 field goals. (One as a result of a failed opening on-side kick, and the other as a deflected pass interception) Next week the black and gold wecomes Indianapolis to Pittsburgh. The Colts are having a so-so season, and just might be stepping into a hornets nest. If Ben is able to play, the Pittsburghers will practically be back at full strength for the first time this season. If Big Ben can't take the field, he has a more than capable understudy to back him up. (Two touchdown passes against the Redskins)

Well, I guess the Steelers are mimicking the Browns, in blowing a 10 point lead in the second half of their game against the Colts sunday. The loss enables the "loved by all" Ravens, to creep up to a tie with the Black and Gold for the lead in the AFC North. The Browns are a distant 3rd, with the Bengals in their usual 4th place. With the Steelers hosting the Chargers, and the Ravens visiting the Giants this coming sunday, one can only hope the "Pittsburgers" can take sole possession of the lead once again. Only time will tell .....

As of now, it does not look good for anyone in the AFC North to go 10-6. Someone has to win this division but it will be with an UGLY record.

???????????? I believe the Steelers have a great chance to go 10 - 6 (or better) ..... With Tennessee going 8 - 0 and leading the pack in both conferences, they appear to be the favorite (and rightly so)The Black and Gold's 7 - 3 puts them 2nd in the entire AFC (record - wise) ..... Even with several EXTREMELY tough games ahead of them, (and a few potential gimmies), Pittsburgh ought to win at least half of these remaining games.

Well the Black and Gold inched one step closer to the AFC North title this week by beating the sorry Tiger team from Southern Ohio 27-10 ....The Steelers, with a record of 8 - 3, (second only to the Titans' 10 - 1 in the AFC), have a road engagement with the Patriots this sunday at 4:15. The New England based team ALWAYS has a way of bending the rules, and having players ejected from the game, will probably be scheming another fiasco type game plan. (Maybe tainting the Pittsburghers pre-game meal and/or adding a little something to the visitors water)
Once again ..... only time will tell .....

The Steelers are creeping ever so close to the AFC North Championship with the crushing win over the New England Cheaters, and the disposing of the Dallas Cowchips. Next up ..... a trip to the beloved birds-nest of the Ravens. A win there will all but clinch it for the Black and Gold in the (once again), two team race in the AFC North.

With an ugly record ?????
11 - 3 isn't exactly an "ugly" record .....
The Black and Gold has clinched the AFC North Championship once again, and with a win over the Titans next week at their house, will have a 1st round bye in the playoffs. If this win should occur for the Pittsburghers, (and it won't be easy), coupled with a repeat win over the Brownies in the season finale, the Steelers will finish the regular season with probably the best record in the NFL .....
Not too shabby .....

RATS !!!!!
Both the Steelers and the Brownies lost this weekend. But the only thing either team can do now is lick their wounds and prepare for next sunday. At least after the Steeler - Brown finale, the Pittsburghers can rest up a week to prepare for the playoffs.
The Lake Erie squad will have a year to rest up.

Well, the Steelers dismantled the Browns today .....
31 - 0 ..... Ho-Hum .....
The Brownies set a new NFL record of not scoring an offensive touchdown in 24 consecitive quarters, surpassing Chicagos' record of 22 quarters .....
Big Ben was on his back for 15 minutes before leaving via stretcher, and transported to the hospital, with minutes to go in the first half. It was later released that he had a concussion and needed further tests to be taken. Hopefully Ben can rest up the next couple of weeks before the Black and Gold begins their playoff run.
I believe the last time the Lake Erie squad beat the Pittsburgers was way back when Lincoln was president ..... LOL
